Putin’s Allies Threaten To Sink Britain

Putin’s Allies Threaten To Sink Britain – Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council and former president, recently suggested “sink” Britain as a solution to the Moscow-London problem. The controversial statement was made in response to comments by Russian ski champion Elena Vyarve, who expressed a firm view on the ban imposed by Western countries on Russian athletes from participating in international competitions in connection with the Ukraine Ta conflict.

Putin’s Allies Threaten To Sink Britain

lxnews – In an interview with Russian media outlet NEWS.ru, three-time Olympic gold medalist and current head of the Russian Cross-Country Ski Federation Elena Vyarbe strongly criticized Western countries for banning Russian athletes.

He said, “If you dropped a big bomb in the middle of London, it would all be over and you would be allowed to compete anywhere.”

In the interview, Villarbe not only attacked Western countries, but also called the IOC a “heap of scum” that was “involved in a shady and completely dishonest sport.” He also emphasized that although “sport has always been associated with politics,” banning athletes for political reasons “no longer resembles sport at all.”

Medvedev, who is known for using harsh words in his social media posts, responded sarcastically to Villarve’s comments, saying there were more effective solutions than bombing.

“Our famous skier, Elena Villarve, proposed dropping bombs on London. “Of course she is right, but we must solve this problem more radically and sink the cursed Anglo-Saxon island,” Medvedev said as quoted by RT, Monday ( 10/7).

However, he did not explain further whether the “problem” in question was related to the world of sport or Russian-British relations in general.

Britain and NATO have consistently supported Ukraine in its war against Russia, providing financial and military assistance and imposing heavy sanctions on Moscow.

London is also one of 30 countries that have asked the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to maintain a ban on athletes from Russia and Belarus participating in this year’s Summer Olympics.

Since the outbreak of the Ukrainian war in 2022, various Western sports associations, including the IOC, FIFA, and FIDE, have banned Russia and Belarus from participating in international competitions. Russia has often criticized these restrictions as political.

Nuclear rhetoric between Russia and the West continues. Recently, the threat of nuclear missiles was raised again by Vladimir Solovyov, a Kremlin propagandist who is also a close ally of President Vladimir Putin.
In a TV program entitled “An Evening with Vladimir Solovyov,” he once again revealed how Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Defense Council and former president, had raised the possibility of bombing Britain. According to him, this country is the cause of serious problems on earth. “We must solve this problem at its roots and immediately sink the cursed island of Anglo-Saxon dogs,” he said, referring to the proposal put forward by Russian skier Elena Vyarbe at the end of September. He called on Russia to “drop a very big bomb in the center of London” after ice skiing’s parent organization, the International Biathlon Union (IBU), imposed a ban on Russian athletes.

Nuclear rhetoric itself is still used in tensions between the West and Moscow. Kiev began using weapons supported by the Western alliance NATO to attack Russia’s interior.

This prompted President Putin to revise Russia’s nuclear doctrine. Under the revised principles, any aggression against Russia carried out by a non-nuclear state involved in or supporting a nuclear state would be considered a combined attack and potentially exceed the nuclear threshold.

Therefore, this change also applies to attacks if Ukraine moves to Russia. This is because neighboring countries use weapons supplies from the US, UK and France.

Solovyov and Medvedev are two Russian figures who have spoken out loud about the possibility of using nuclear weapons. “Britain should be buried by radioactivity,” Solovyov said in a broadcast in March. In mid-September, Solovyov also claimed that Ukraine’s attack on the Kursk region had given Vladimir Putin “an excuse to start a nuclear war”.

Medvedev was also caught several times making inflammatory statements about nuclear weapons. Last month, he said the decision by Western countries to help provide weapons to Ukraine was a decision that had “consequences.”

“But Russia remains patient. It is clear that a nuclear reaction is a very complex decision with irreversible consequences.” “But proud Anglo-Saxons do not understand that human endurance is only tested for a limited time,” Medvedev said.
